Bad news out of College Station. Texas A&M tailback Rueben Owens will miss the entire 2024 season after suffering an injury during the weekend. Meanwhile, there might be a quarterback controversy at Iowa. Northwestern transfer Brendan Sullivan might challenge Cade McNamara for the starting job.

Colorado coach Deion Sanders held a bizarre press conference Friday that included shutting out the local CBS affiliate for, um, reasons and a random question about Aflac that felt like a plant. Sanders doesn’t sound ultra confident after a week of practice, but Andy explains why he wants unhinged press conferences the rest of the way from Coach Prime.

Next, Jake Rowe of On3’s Dawgs HQ talks Georgia following the first major scrimmage of the preseason. How is the receiver depth after the dismissal of RaRa Thomas? Which tight end(s) will wind up getting the touches that used to go to Brock Bowers?
