(02:29) Grants Pass v. Johnson, No. 23-175 (June 28, 2024); Enforcement of generally applicable laws regulating camping on public property.

(06:14) Erlinger v. United States, No. 23-370 (June 21, 2024); The Armed Career Criminal Act (ACCA) requires mandatory prison terms where a defendant was previously convicted of three prior offenses “on separate occasions.” Under the Fifth and Sixth Amendments, this “separate occasions” inquiry must be determined by a jury beyond a reasonable doubt.

(18:16) Snyder v. U.S., No 23-108 (June 26, 2028); Receiving a gratuity or other tokens of appreciation after an official act is taken is not a crime under Section 666 of Title 18.

(21:27) U.S. v. Lesh, No. 23-1074 (July 16, 2024); Unauthorized “work activity” on public land is impermissibly vague as applied to Lesh, 6th Amendment right to jury trial does not apply to petty offenses.

Spencer, 2024COA75 (July 18, 2024); When a medical professional attempts to draw blood from the suspect for ten minutes but is unsuccessful in locating a vein, law enforcement’s failure to provide the chosen blood test constitutes “extraordinary circumstances” that excuse the duty to provide the test. § 42-4- 1301.1(2)(a.5).
