Very early in scripture, God invites Moses to come up on the mountain with him and BE in his presence. (Haya (Hebrew)) This same invitation is extended to believers today. In Jesus, God made it clear that he wants to be with us. We often struggle with presence. Our wandering thoughts about what’s to come and about what has already happened keep us from tuning into God. Our challenge is to quiet our minds. - To recall our thoughts and refocus our attention on God (as many times as it takes), and to discern the most natural spiritual pathway for us to be present with God.
