A couple of weeks ago, Ellie Barnes (the name behind the company that helps organise the Twyford Fun Run and other events) completed the Ironman Portugal triathlon. That's 2.4 miles of swimming, 112 miles of biking, then a FULL marathon.
Not only that, she managed to qualify for the Ironman World Championships 2024.
She is also a mum of three holding down a full time job.
All of this just weeks after collapsing at another event and being taken off in an ambulance with heat exhaustion.
