Over the last 20 years, Matt Entizne’s battle with morbid obesity took a turn for the worse, when in December 2015, he had a brain injury caused by a condition related to obesity, called Hypoxia, which is associated with the lack of oxygen to the brain leading to injury or death. This occurred from not wearing a Cpap device at night while being on a heavy regular dose of prescription narcotics.
Following this incident, he was initially almost blind for an entire week, and it took almost a year to see without a visual deficit. upon entering 2016, Matt became bed bound and over a period of 4 1/2 years, he eventually ended up on a Cpap/Bipap machine 24 hours a day.
Fast forward, Matt’s official weight loss journey began August 4th, 2020 at over 700 pounds, shortly before his 40th birthday. On his back, barely able to breathe without assistance from a machine, he made a life and death choice to completely change his entire life around in regards to his health and well being. Then, at the recommendation of a loving and caring friend, he began to utilize a band retention workout program that he could start to do at his own pace. With the hope of a better future, support from various allies, friends & family, and an adequate dietary and nutritional plan, he will conquer obesity and hopefully inspire others, who like himself, have faced or face the battle of obesity themselves.
