Every April, health care professionals recommend you have a frank and honest conversation with loved ones about end-f-life care. In fact, many consider April as National Healthcare Decisions month.
Now is the time to discuss our end-of-life options and wishes so that you and your loved ones are not reacting in fear, anger or desperation when an end-of-life situation develops.
One of the most important thing to remember is the Five Wishes. It's a formatted document that allows a discussion of choices and wishes about end-of-life to be turned into a legal document that allows physicians and other caregivers to know just how you wish to be treated or not treated as you near end-of life.
The Great American Senior Show has decided to launch our weekly series of podcasts with this topic because it is so important. And, because the estimated 60 million seniors currently in America will need to make just these types of decisions.
