Jenna has a special guest on her podcast today, a long-time best friend from Wisconsin, Natalie! Otherwise known as @/frenchfriesnthickthighs. In this episode we recollect what it was like to step into adulthood with unchecked eating disorders and body dysmorphia in the ever-saturated world of Americanized beauty standards, and what we've done to reclaim our autonomy, shut out predatory marketing and to take agency on what our health should really look like. Westernized, (specifically Americanized) cultural wounds are all interlinked, The wounds specifically surrounding body image, exercise and food are a constant sore we continue to reopen every time we look in the mirror, open the fridge or go to the gym. Jenna and Natalie change the paradigm and give their listeners a new script, one with actionable steps towards more self-compassion and a no-pressure, intuitive approach to finding a healthy mindset to cultivate wellness at any size.
