Emma has been working as a family photographer since 2012 - she started as a family lifestyle photographer and we chat to her about the transition into a more documentary style. Emma has acquired several top awards at the Documentary Family Awards, she was selected for the Female Voice Exhibition 2019, has been named top UK storyteller photographer 2020 by TIRF and has recently been shortlisted for the World Photography Organisation Sony Alpha Female Award 2021 and the British Photography Awards 2021. Emma is also co-founder of Made for Documentary, a community hub providing expertise and education, on a mission to help documentary family photographers develop their skills and elevate the genre in the UK and beyond.
