We do not discuss the Dads' role in college transition. Dads, you have a special role to play in your student's college journey and self-advocacy. Your connection to your student is unique and special. Dads bring a significant role and perspective to the college transition process. Your student's college success and a better college transition with Dads' special skillset.
Students with disabilities like ADHD, learning disabilities, and mental health conditions need parental support throughout the college experience. Dads can help ensure their student is prepared and informed. Dads should not be left out of the college transition plans, discussions, conversations etc. Let's face it, some things dads may be better at and not mom. No slight towards moms at all. Just saying that dads have a role that's just as important as yours and that role needs support too.
