Born and raised in Oregon, Richard has been painting on canvas since the age of 14. Getting a BSA degree in business and focused on art from Montana state university, he moved to San Diego to procure his dream of being an artist.

After working in a screen-printing shop, he was hired by Shane Bowden as an art apprentice. He learned and painted for four years under Shane and showed work in galleries all around the world, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Toronto, London, Tokyo, Asaka Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

He moved back to his hometown of Bend, Oregon, and opened his first solo studio. Now after three years, he’s back in southern California and has opened his new studio to start work on new collections and ideas.
