Big changes coming to the Canadian real estate market in 2022. CREA has just announced that Real Time Tracking of offers will begin in select markets across Canada. Right now, finding out how many offers are "actually" registered on a property is a nightmare and many consumers simply do not believe what some realtors are saying. Its time to add proof to the process. As a proponent for more accessible real estate disclosure for consumers for over 20 years, this is going to make a big difference in the reporting of the process for those who choose to do use the multiple offer process. Even though there is IMO a better way to sell in most markets, this approach seems to be the one may are using. The faults of the process are numerous. Including the fact that as many as 80% of those bids in the artificially low price model are not even considered, a lot of time and energy is wasted vs concentrating on the upper 20% and those overqualified to bid.
