In this episode of the Lubetkin on Communications podcast, we present the keynote remarks by Bruce Katz, inaugural Centennial Scholar at the Brookings Institution, from the 2018 New Jersey Future Redevelopment Conference. Our StateBroadcastNews.com news division covered the conference for its own news report and for our content partner, GlobeSt.com. Katz is the co-author, with Jeremy Nowak, of The New Localism: How Cities Can Thrive in the Age of Populism.

Bruce Katz recently completed a stint as the inaugural Centennial Scholar at the Brookings Institution, where he focuses on the challenges and opportunities of global urbanization. He was vice president and codirector of the Brookings Metropolitan Policy Program, which he founded in 1996. He is one of the leaders of the Brookings Project on 21st Century City Governance and is the coauthor, with Jennifer Bradley, of The Metropolitan Revolution (Brookings, 2013).
