Sometimes there just aren't enough words to simply describe what something truly means to you and the impact it made on you and your life. Thankfully we have Ashley Naylor back on the show to help describe the massive impact Nirvana's 'Nevermind' album had on the world and to celebrate it's 30th Anniversary!
'Nevermind' was released on September 24th 1991 (same day as the Red Hot Chili Peppers 'Blood Sugar Sex Magik' - check out episode #65) and would go on to sell 30 million albums over the next 30 years and help change the musical landscape forever.
Tom Petty once said "Nirvana was the most significant thing since The Beatles".
But it's not just about the album sales it's about how it inspired, and still inspires so many people all over the world. Nevermind is often credited with initiating the resurgence of punk culture among teenagers and young adults of Generation X. It was also responsible in part for bringing Grunge and Alternative Rock Music to the mainstream audience.
It's an album that will go down in history as one of the greatest albums ever made. In Jan of 1992 this 3-piece band from Seattle would knock off the King of Pop Michael Jackson from the top of the album charts.

Personally I still can't put into words what this album means to me, but I hope you enjoy this tribute episode of the Podcast to Nirvana's 'Nevermind' with one of our great friends of the show, Ashley Naylor from Melbourne's rock trio EVEN. I want to thank Ash for his time.

Thank you for listening, you can check out the video version of this episode on the Foxx on the Wire YouTube channel and please subscribe!

"Oh well, whatever, never mind". RIP Kurt.
