In this episode, we’re speaking with Dorothee Sophie Royal from the Moonwise podcast and the author of Rooted, a pregnancy journal honoring the inward path to motherhood, which launched in August 2021.

Dorothee shares how she birthed the Rooted journal from her pregnancy experience - a powerful initiation allowing her to explore shadow parts of life, huge transformation, and journey from maiden to mother. She shares how shame drove her curiosity to explore programming and conditioning related to being pregnant, a sexual being, and a woman, opening up a discussion of my own discovery process of programs related to productivity, worth, energy during my own pregnancy journey.

We talk about the greater impact of our dominant culture on the pregnancy, birthing, & motherhood experience and the lack of support, cycles, and rhythms we are meant to experience.

Dorothee shares lots of sage advice, including ways to call in support in an age of isolation, separation and disconnection. She also talks about her journey with postpartum depression, how the seeds were planted during pregnancy, and her intention to heal herself and offer insight for others.

We get super honest and personal in this episode about our respective journeys in pregnancy, and Dorothee drops so many pearls of wisdom I know will be supportive for you and/or loved one you know!
