Chicago’s short-tempered shortstop Tim Anderson likes to refer to himself as the "modern-day Jackie Robinson," but don’t any white man dare do so. When Yankees slugger Josh Donaldson did just that, in jest as many times before, Anderson’s response set off a bench-clearing standoff. Baby Boomer turned baby groomer La Russa later validated Anderson’s cries of prejudice rather than requiring him to sack up and be a man.
