Damien Gaiters is the Director of Bands at Lithia Springs High School in Douglas County, Georgia. Damien believes that empowering student leaders is an important part of his classroom strategy. He invests in student so much so, that he actually has key student conduct his band from the podium and offer insight to their peers. He believes that this is important as it fosters more musical accountability, but also helps students to take charge of their musical growth.
