Joshua Prieto is a Brisbane-based wildlife and social documentary photojournalist with a love of learning about the world. His work and travels have given him the opportunity to witness and photograph many spectacular creatures, scenes and important cultural events.
He sees his task as a photographer and journalist as another means to inspire people to care for the people and places around them.
His technical and conceptual education comes from both a Diploma from TAFE Queensland and a Bachelor of Photography from Griffith University's Queensland College of Art.
He has produced work with international non-governmental organisations such as Wildlife Alliance and TPO in Cambodia, as well as with the Queensland Museum and Chinchilla Veterinary Services, and his work has been exhibited at the Queensland College of Art, Maud Street Gallery, publicly in Kathmandu, Nepal and Ipswich Community Gallery.
Joshua's images have been internationally published by organisations such the Guardian, SBS, Australian Photography, Deutsche Welle, Vox, ABC, BBC, Radio France, Hardie Grant, Griffith University, University of Queensland and Wildlife Australia magazine.
