My conversation with Ruthann was a deep one, a challenging one. Ruthann shared a lot of statistics about domestic violence in Canada. The numbers were a lot higher than I could have imagined. She talked a lot about the responsibility of employers in supporting victims of domestic abuse, and that there is so much value in education.
As challenging as it might be to listen to this one - I would recommend that you do. It was empowering and enlightening. If you are someone who wants to know how to make more of a difference in this unprecedented time and rise of domestic violence against women and children - have a listen.
“Now is not the time to play small. Now is the time for leaders to step up and to step into their truth in providing support and providing care and attention to one another.” - Ruthann Weeks

Candice is a mom who lives a minimalist lifestyle, owns a tiny home (324 sq ft), loves to travel with her partner in life and dance Mark; and can never resist the urge to take off her boots to walk barefoot into a clear mountain lake or stream. When she is not connecting or writing, she can be found disappearing into the backcountry trails of Canada and losing herself exploring waterfalls and mountain trails. She is a quiet introvert who adores eating clean vegan foods and reading a great book.
