Matt Thomas is the lead singer of Parmalee. Matt joins Country Music Made Me to talk about his early days of receiving his first guitar, his first band (Early Timez), and the influence his dad had on the formation of his early musical aspirations. He also talks about Parmalee's early days rehearsing in a small barn on the property of a family friend, playing whatever venue they could book and travelling back and forth to Nashville in the hopes of living their dreams of being more than just a small town band. Finally Matt talks about the bands first #1 single "Carolina" from their debut album, the recent success of "Just the Way" featuring Blanco Brown and their new album "For You".
