Wade Bowen
Manage episode 317418975 series 3301003
Wade Bowen is a Country Music Singer/Songwriter based in Texas. Wade joins Country Music Made Me to discuss the various ways his family inspired his love of music as a youngster, including his Mom’s past experience within the music industry, the outgoing (but tone-deaf) musical stylings of his dad, and the time spent with his talented sisters in-front of his great-grandmothers piano. Wade and Brendan talk about the transformation that occurred late in high school and into college at Texas Tech, when his love for music became more than a hobby, turning into a passion and creating dreams of Country Music stardom. Wade explains the circumstances that led to chasing a career within the Texas music scene in his early 20’s rather than making the move to Nashville to follow the stereotypical route of a country artist and the lessons he learned within the business of the industry along the way. Finally, Wade talks about his time spent during the pandemic reassessing his goals and regaining the inspiration he discovered he was losing because of an overly hectic schedule leading into 2020. A time that included the release of his EP Where Phones Don’t Work, which includes a slightly more positive tone than past music, in an effort to inspire hope during a dark time.
