Sci-fi and fantasy are imaginative genres that can show us new, impossible worlds. Sometimes, they offer us escape from our dreary lives. But there’s one thing contemporary SFF can’t seem to escape. As Mark Fisher once said, “It’s easier to imagine the end of the world than the end of capitalism.
